Savage, searing, and strong, the fire lion is one of the Lava Kingdom’s most dangerous residents, and thus an ideal custodian of the much coveted “Superweapon.”
The fire lion is posed ready to strike, with its right front paw raised, its mouth open in a fiery roar, its body bent to the left, and its tail curled.
Swinging through the branches and charging among the tree trunks of the Jungle Kingdom, the aptly named monster gorilla possesses enhanced strength and agility, poison spines, and a savage temper.
Despite his name, the monster gorilla actually isn’t all that different from a regular one. He has the same face, same physical proportions, and the same colouration: black all over with a pink mouth, red tongue, and white teeth.
Last year, for Thanksgiving, I reviewed a figure of King Kong with the promise that I would return with another Kong for 2025. I also explained why I associated Thanksgiving with the mighty monkey but if you missed it, you can read it here. True to my word, I’m back with another Kong, and this year’s Kong figure is a major improvement over last year’s.

Horses have been around since the dawn of humanity. Ever since horses were domesticated, they have been used for many purposes, such as for farming, transportation, sports, and many others. In the past, their agility, speed and strength were put to use on battlefields.
Most of the time when I think of a werewolf these days, I think of a human that shapeshifted into a bipedal wolf-like creature, that retains some human characteristics. A wolf-like head, a human-like torso and arms, clawed hands, digitigrade paws, maybe a tail, that sort of thing.
In Greek mythology, Areion is an immortal horse that is typically regarded as the offspring of Poseidon and Demeter, conceived when Demeter turned into a horse to outrun Poseidon and he then also turned into a horse. He is first mentioned in Homer’s Iliad where he is described as the “swift horse of Adrastus, that was of heavenly stock.
If you had to ask me what my favorite things are, I’d probably tell you dinosaurs, and other prehistoric animals first. Yet almost equally, I also adore werewolves, wolf men, and any flavor of lycanthrope. There’s many different cultural tales of men that could shapeshift into wolves or wolf like creatures (if not other animals), rather willingly or forced from a curse, spell, disease, etc.
It’s Thanksgiving weekend in the United States and I almost let it slip by without writing a Kong review for our newly minted blog! What does Kong have to do with Thanksgiving, you ask? Well, watching the original 1933 King Kong is a yearly tradition in my household.
