Today we’re looking at the Fallout 76 mothman, and although I reviewed a mothman already this one is not actually based on the cryptid, but the video game creature from Fallout 76. For those unfamiliar, Fallout is a post-apocalyptic role-playing video game series that takes place in a timeline that deviates from our own in the 1950’s and retains many of the characteristics of that decade.

Mothman is the name given to a flying humanoid creature that was claimed to have been repeatedly spotted in Point Pleasant, West Virginia, from November 15th, 1966, to December 15th, 1967. The string of sightings ceased after the 1967 collapse of the Silver Bridge that resulted in the death of 46 people.

The kraken (Microcosmus marinus) is a cephalopod native to northern Europe that’s renowned for its size and ship sinking abilities. Although its true size is unknown, Erik Pontoppidan, bishop of Bergen and author of Natural History of Norway wrote that the kraken is “the largest sea monster in the world…round, flat, and full of arms, or branches.
