Beware the bite of the rock crusher! This beefy, brutish denizen of Eldrador’s Stone Kingdom can pulverise practically anything between its powerful grinding jaws. And even those who manage to avoid its chomp must still face its indestructible club tail!

The Schleich rock crusher measures 17 cm long and 10 cm high, and what a bizarre-looking creature it is. It has an enormous, wedge-shaped head with a massive lower jaw, large, flattened teeth, stout limbs with tetradactyl feet and long pointed claws, a heavily armoured back, and a short tailed tipped with a spiked mace. Grotesque, perhaps, but also ferocious and tough-looking.

The rock crusher is coloured dark grey with very dark grey feet and black wash all over. Its small eyes and the inside of its mouth are light green and its teeth are light grey. The crystal armour protecting its back and comprising its tail club are translucent green.

Unlike its neighbour, the rock beast, the rock crusher’s body is made entirely stone. And particularly detailed stone at that. The surface is rough and craggy, and the black wash does a good job of bringing out every nook and cranny. The crystals on the back and the tail club are uneven and jagged, but like all Schleich toys, there are no real sharp edges to speak of. This toy is perfectly safe for children to play with.

Overall, the Schleich rock crusher is a detailed, fun, and unusual monster. It is presently sold only in a two-pack with another fearsome creature, which will be dropping on the blog in due course.
